Another Step Closer

We took another step toward our goal of full time RVing. We have a Lazydays dealership here in Tucson and they offer a driver's confidence course. Since neither of us have ever really driven a big rig, we thought that it might be important to learn how before we buy a big monster and wreak havoc on the roads of this fine country. We signed up for the course and today was the big day. It is two hours in a classroom then we get to go out and actually drive around the campgrounds they have at the dealership.

It was quite scary and intimidating at first, but all in all, we both really enjoyed the class. I am a firm believer that everyone who buys an RV should be required to take some type of course like this. Driving an RV is NOT like driving a really big car.

Now that we have taken the course, I feel much more confident in actually driving one. (I guess that's why they call it a driver's confidence course!)

Anyhow, here's the proof that we passed the course.

  1. Awesomeness! Our RV place didn't offer that. We just winged it. In a year I drove it maybe 3 times and they were easy drives. I think the thing that's so daunting about them is the width and then the braking distance needed. A class would have been uber helpful.
